The best safety culture starts from the top down, and Skydive Monroe could be the poster child for that approach. Our dropzone owner, Bill Scott, has owned Skydive Monroe for almost as long as he’s been in the sport. Four decades of jumping, and three decades of owning our beloved dropzone, have taught Bill a lesson or two about safety in skydiving.
In addition to owning the dropzone, Bill is a tandem instructor, coach, big-way formation record holder, and pilot, and each one of these hats gives him a unique perspective on the importance of safety in skydiving.
Bill expects everyone at the dropzone to follow his lead, and he holds his instructors, office team, pilots, and everyone at Skydive Monroe to the same standard he expects from himself. Even our airplanes are meticulously maintained to those same, sky-high expectations.
The instructors at Skydive Monroe are highly experienced and trained. They’ve completed rigorous certification programs through both the United States Parachute Association and tandem skydiving gear manufacturers, and have been individually selected for their professionalism and passion.
We know you can’t relax and have fun without feeling confident that we’re doing everything we can to mitigate the risks of skydiving, so we’ve gone above and beyond to build a culture of responsibility in our everyday operations.
